There are many variables as discussed in our rates. What is the minimum that I can have screened? While we can do less, it is most cost effective if you have a couple thousand yards or more. The larger the amount the less it is per yard. What size is the finished product? We typically use a _" screen for topsoil and compost but other sizes are available. How much material can you screen in an hour? This depends on many factors such as type of material, moisture in the material, rain, debris, equipment used to load and so forth. Averages typically run about 150 ? 200 yards per hour. How do you leave the finished material? This depends on the size of the project and what the customers needs are. We can stack approximately 1500 yards using the attached radial conveyor. Larger converyors are available to stack higher if needed. Screener waste is stock piled to the side. A rock grizzly is available to sort larger waste material to recover saleable rock and recycle to a higher degree. |
When is the best time to screen? As soon as the ground is thawed in the spring and things have dried up enough. In sandy soils we are able to screen quite early in the spring. Main thing to keep in mind is the sooner it is done the quicker you can use or sell the product or utilize the space you have been wasiting. I have some other excavating that I would like done while you have equipment on site, can you help me? Absolultely, the cost to do extra work while we have the equipment on site is very affordable. Just let us know so we can schedule. I have a friend that has some screening that needs to be done. Can I save some money by doing it all at once? You bet.
